Port Details

Ravenna, Italy

Dubbed “The Mosaic City”, Ravenna is best known for its churches, which date back 1,500 years and are decorated with stunning, multicolored Byzantine mosaics. In Ravenna, you can visit Dante’s tomb, or tour the grounds of the Azienda Agricola Vignato Virgilio winery then reward yourself for a day of sightseeing with a glass of crisp gambellara or a rich cabernet. Cin cin!

Koper, Slovenia

Even with such sights as the historic Old Town, Preaetorian Palace, and the beautiful square of Titov Trg, Koper is also the gateway to an array of intercontinental adventures. Trek through the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Skocjan Caves; tour the capital city of Ljubljana, truly one of Europe’s secret gems; or cross the border into the Italian coffee capital of Trieste for a cappuccino.

Pula, Croatia

Pula may be a relatively undiscovered gem by most modern-day travelers, but with its protected harbor and strategic location on the southern tip of Croatia’s Istrian Peninsula, it’s proven a popular hit with invaders. For almost 3,000 years, Pula has been home to everyone from the Romans, Ostrogoths, and Venetians to medieval knights and the Austro-Hungarian empire.

Zadar, Croatia

Old meets new in beautiful Zadar. Walk quaint cobblestone streets from a bygone era that give way to modern marvels of architecture and technology. Escape the city and explore two national parks—Krka and Plitvice—both teeming with natural beauty. Afterwards, sample Maraschino, a traditional liqueur made from marasca cherries and produced in Zadar distilleries since the 16th century.

Hvar, Croatia

Known as the “Sunniest Place in Europe”, Hvar receives an average of 7.7 hours of sunshine per day. So sunbathing is a favorite pastime here, especially at the beaches of Dubovica and the Pakleni Islands. There are plenty more jaw-dropping sights to see here: lush olive groves, fruit orchards, fields of lavender, and dozens of vineyards, since Hvar is one of the top winemaking regions in Croatia.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

From the moment you step beyond the stonewalls that protects Dubrovnik, you’ll understand what makes it so special. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is adorned with charming squares and centuries-old red-roofed buildings. Walk the walls for a spectacular view of the city, and if anything looks familiar, it’s probably because Dubrovnik is the home of King’s Landing on HBO’s Game of Thrones.

Kotor, Montenegro

Kotor A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kotor is filled with churches, shops, bars, restaurants, and hidden piazzas. (The latter are perfect for enjoying Montenegrin wines like the red Vranac or dry white Krstač.) The entire city is surrounded by stone, both in the form of imposing Mount Saint John and by towering ancient walls, creating a cozy feeling of protection when you walk the cobblestone streets.

Corfu, Greece

Corfu It’s one of the most popular Greek Isles for good reason. Explore the cobblestoned streets of Old Town in search of handcrafted treasures or while away the day on a sandy beach in town, or head out to the charming countryside. Here you’ll find olive groves, lemon trees, and rugged cliffs that are more than postcard-worthy.

Argostoli, Greece

The capital and “heart” of the Greek Island of Kefalonia, Argostoli is a modern town with a traditional soul. With its stunning display of stalactites and stalagmites, the famous Drogati Cave and underground Melissani Lake routinely top must-see lists—plus the vibrant Plateia Vallianou Square.

Zakynthos, Greece

You’ll find this small island packs a punch—from its sheer cliffs to its pristine beaches. In the capital—also named Zakynthos—you’ll see traces of the island’s time as an overseas colony of Venice. The best preserved example from this period is the Venetian castle atop Bochali Hill where a bird’s-eye view of the town and panoramic sea views will have you feeling on top of the world.

Piraeus, (Athens), Greece

Acropolis End your journey in Piraeus with an archaeological walk past landmarks like the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Ancient Agora, and of course, the Acropolis. Afterwards, head to the Central Market for a feast of fresh fruit and veggies, nuts, olives, and Grecian cheese. Finally, check out a local taverna where you can rub elbows with the locals well into the wee hours of the night.
